Yagomi is a village located in Madang province in the Rai Coast District of Papua New Guinea. It is a coastal village with its own language, cultures, and a beautiful environment. The village has a big, fast-flowing river called the Yaut River.
Most of their houses are built with kunai grass. Their staple foods include yam, taro root, bananas, and other locally grown produce. They hunt in the forest for their meat, and fish in the rivers.
Almost all Yagomis identify as Christian. They don’t yet have a Bible, and there are few gospel materials in their Yagomi language. Some blend traditional religion with their Christianity.
Yagomis need higher education opportunities so they can have the opportunity to rise above subsistence farming.
Pray for hundreds to be raised up with an unwavering faith in Christ, one that will not be shaken, no matter what comes their way.Pray for God to bring about his purpose for the Yagomi people.Pray for Christians to have love, joy, peace, and patience as they tell others about the King of kings.Pray for a mighty Holy Spirit revival to permeate their families and churches, drawing them into greater love for God and for their neighbors.
