The Yashi people, also known as Hasha, live primarily in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Their main settlements include Kwààn (Yàshì Sarki or Bwora), Hàshàsu (Yàshì Pá), and Hùsù (Yàshì Madaki or Kusu). The language spoken by the Yashi is called Hasha, which is part of the Plateau branch of the Niger-Congo language family. The Yashi have maintained their language and identity despite influences from neighboring groups.
