The Ndolo (AKA, Mosange) are a Bantu-speaking people living in the wetland regions of Sud-Ubangi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their communities are centered around river systems such as the Moeko and Ngiri, with settlement patterns shaped by floodplains and waterways.
Ndolo life is closely tied to rivers and wetlands. Fishing and small-scale agriculture form the basis of their livelihood, while transportation depends heavily on boats. Families live in close-knit village communities, and daily life adapts to seasonal flooding and environmental conditions.
The Ndolo are largely Christian, and church life is central to their communities. Traditional perspectives on healing and spiritual protection may still be present, especially where healthcare access is limited. Scripture is available in part in their language.
Access to clean water and sanitation is a major concern, especially in flood-prone areas where contamination risks are high. Healthcare access is limited, particularly in remote villages where travel to clinics is difficult. Food security can also be unstable due to environmental conditions and limited market access. Spiritually, there is a need for continued discipleship and growth in biblical understanding. Expanding access to Scripture and strengthening local leadership can support long-term spiritual development.
Pray for reliable access to clean water and improved sanitation in flood-prone communities.
Pray for stable food supply and strengthened livelihoods for families.
Pray for the development of Christ-centered communities pouring out and warmly bringing in others into God's kingdom.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to revive their churches and families, giving them the willingness to take Christ to communities that lack a gospel witness.
