Kumba in Nigeria

Introduction / History

The Kumba people, also known as Satte, are an indigenous group living primarily in Adamawa State, Nigeria. They speak the Kumba language, which is also referred to as Sate or Yofo, and is part of the Adamawa branch of the Niger-Congo language family. The Kumba are part of the broader Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster and share cultural ties with neighboring groups.
