Kapingamarangi is the name of an atoll in Micronesia, a people, and the language they speak. Though it was fought over by various European powers starting in the 1500s, it was mostly controlled by Spain.
There is a shortage of food and potable water in the Kapingamarangi atoll. The European Union has a project to help the local people get these basic needs met.
The Kapingamarangis are Christian. They are either Roman Catholic or Protestant.
They need to find ways to develop their economy and produce new jobs. As it stands, they need to import many things that are essential in the 21st century.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to do what only he can do: revive and strengthen Kapingamarangi families and churches.
Pray for the Lord to anoint Kapingamarangis to find new ways to earn a living.
Pray for the Lord to bless their families and marriages with abundant love and respect.
