Bafia, Bekpak in Cameroon

Introduction / History

The Bafia, also referred to by their own name Bekpak, are a Bantu-speaking ethnic community located in the Centre Region of Cameroon. Their homeland lies in the areas north of the Sanaga River, including subdivisions such as Mbam-and-Inoubou, Kon-Yambetta, Kiiki, and Bafia, where villages and family communities have been established for generations.
